"NOT JUST ANY BANK" :30

Commercial for Citibank's "For the Love of Progress" campaign.

It was a late night. We were cooking up concepts like crazy to get something decent together for the morning review. The idea started with “So hey, remember that Jay-Z music video with all the transitions and sliding sets?” “Yep, say no more.” If it wasn’t for the late Biz Markie coming together with Jay-Z  for a music video in 2001, we wouldn’t have thought of this idea. I love using the non-parallel thinking technique of ‘1+1 = 3’ to create surprising and interesting concepts. You take two things that have nothing to do with each other and you merge them in a way to reflect on idea in a unique way. Take 1 (a global bank) + 2 (a Jay-Z music video), and you get this. Inspiration can come from anywhere. Keep your eyes open and soak it all up my friends.
